Welcome to Little Town Gardens, we take our role seriously as we try to grow the freshest, cleanest, healthiest veggies for your families. David and I started growing veggies on our farm outside of Gibbon in 2018 and we love to explore different flavors and tastes among the regular veggies that we grow each year.
We are learning and trying to incorporate no till and regenerative practices in our farming routines. In this way, we can respect our environment and help build healthy soil. From healthy soil comes healthier produce. We are also working to find ways to reduce our footprint by trying to employ reusable and or recyclable packaging. We grow in low and high tunnels throughout the year so yes, we may have spinach in December grown in the ground in Nebraska!
It is impossible to grow beautiful produce without some interventions to deter bugs and insect pressure. Insect netting to cover the crops is our first tool. We also are utilizing predatory bugs and insects to hold down the populations in pests. Our last resorts are natural based and organic approved pesticides when absolutely necessary. Thank you for letting us grow for you!
